Prior to Recording
We use a really great web browser-based recording suite called Trycast. It works best on the Chrome browser, so please make sure you’ve got that installed prior to the recording. If you don’t have it, you can grab it here.
Also, please make sure you’re using a headphone/microphone set for best audio quality. No need to go out and buy some – the earbuds that come with your mobile phone work just fine.
Approximately 5-10 minutes before your schedule recording, our own Michael Hainsworth will email you a link to the email address you provided. All you have to do is click on the link, and you’ll be in the recording with Alan and Michael.
If there are more than one of you participating on an episode, we’ve found a gnarly echo effect if you’re sitting in the same room using separate mic/laptop setups. So, please either sit in different rooms, or use the same mic/laptop.

If something comes up and you need to cancel, please give us as much advanced notice as you can, if possible. We run on a pretty tight schedule, and in order to get our episode out to the masses on time, we rely on punctual recording times.
