Social Media might be global but it often feels like we, as Canadians, are just guests at the party. Being Canadian affects how we consume and create social media. From platform policy to licensing, we sometimes experience a very different online world than our American neighbours.
Social Media North is Canada’s first fan – and fun – focused social media convention and aims to bring together and celebrate Canadian creators, industry, and fans in an effort to strengthen and build Canada’s role in social media. Social Media North is a two-day convention with a focus on fun. We’re bringing some of the world’s best creators and industry professionals together along with the social media community to learn, create, network and celebrate all that is social media in Canada and all that is Canada in social media.

Day One consists of panels, networking opportunities, and an exclusive reception.
Day Two consists of an exhibition hall with a variety of vendors catering to social media creators, industry, and fans, as well as a main stage featuring Q&As and performances from some of the Internet’s biggest social media personalities!
