Toronto Together will be held at Danforth Music Hall
The Canadian band confirmed the news in an interview on Toronto rock station, 102.1 The Edge. The members confirmed they would host the concert August 11, 2018 at Danforth Music Hall. The show takes place during the popular summer food festival, Taste of the Danforth.
“None of us have the answers to any of this, but what we do as humans is we put on rock shows and make people happy,” Billy Talent told the Edge.
Other acts announced include City and Colour and punk rock band, PUP.
“This is our city and we have to celebrate it and we have to protect it, and we have to go to the Danforth and tell the people there that we’re with them and we love them,” said members of Billy Talent.
“We refuse to allow gun violence to define our city,” PUP posted in a tweet Tuesday morning.
