Cannabis Freakonomics is a new study series put out with the Consumer Research Around Cannabis. Part two of this study looked at a number of fast food restaurants throughout the US to see what was most popular amongst regular marijuana users.
Before I give you the results (I’m not surprised by them, honestly) I must tell you that this study was conducted in a number of major cities in the US with a total sample size of 55 million. The study was with 8.5% of this population, users who had purchased from a legal, authorized dispensary. Nothing illegal here, folks.
The Results
The highest ranking fast food restaurants are listed below. It’s important to note that these establishments were visited at some point in the last 4 weeks by someone in these markets.
- McDonalds – 43.4%
- Taco Bell – 18.3%
- Wendy’s – 17.8%
- Burger King – 17.6%
- Subway – 8.7%
And… our thoughts?
Are you surprised by these results at all? I’m honestly not even a little. I haven’t spent much time in the US, so maybe I’m completely off, but McDonalds is much more popular and the hours are much longer than any other of these options. This makes McDonalds the easiest choice for our stoner buddies – whether they’re looking at proximity, ease of use or hours.
