Two men are suing Michael Jackson’s estate, claiming he paid them and others millions to prevent them from talking about their abuse, according to a pair of new civil cases filed in Los Angeles.
The men are suing for punitive damages and suggest Jackson spent nearly $200 million to keep up to 20 victims from telling their stories. If a judge in LA allows the case to proceed, the two men would be able to use evidence that had been excluded from previous criminal cases including how much Jackson paid to individual victims.
One of the men claims he was abused by Jackson more than 100 times and that Jackson gave the man’s father a check for $1 million.
