Punk Historians Looking at California Love

Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk was originally published in 1996 about the New York-centric punk rock rebellion. The book is to be re-published next year as a special 20th Anniversary Edition.

Authors Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain have been living in Los Angeles for the better of the last two months to gather as many interviews and information as possible for their next project – a story to recant the music that centred itself around Sunset Strip in the late 1960s. They’re interested in talking about bands like The Birds, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Paul Revere & The Raiders.

This is going to be a really cool perspective on this era of music, I’m personally excited to read it when it’s released. If you want to read the full interview, check it out here.
