Long Live Max Headroom

This was an interesting read for me. In the 80s, I was really still a child. And though I know the image of Max Headroom very well, I didn’t spend a lot of my time personally watching.

Bryan Bishop, a writer for The Verge, caught up with all the staff behind the British artificial intelligence to see where exactly the ideas came from. Of the name, Max Headroom, Producer Peter Wagg says, “When I asked him, ‘Why Max Headroom?’ he didn’t really have an answer. So I said, well, I suppose it is ‘maximum headroom.’ I mean, it’s all sound, it’s all vision, it’s filling your head full of music and sound.”

Check out the entire article here, it’s definitely worth a read. Even if it’s just a good time to reminisce.
