CBC’s landmark radio show is looking for a new host, since, well, you know. Since he left, CBC has enlisted help from other hosts. However, the bosses decided to change things up this week, by reaching out to Fucked Up‘s Damian Abraham, funny lady Candy Palmater and Canadian scholar and hip hop lyricist, Shad.
One day into the fill-in gig, Q listeners took to Twitter, disapproving of Shad’s, “Dope” vocabulary and his “not safe for work” playlist.
@CBCRadioQ I love hearing new music but in the right quantities. There are a lot of radios turning off right now.

@CBCRadioQ @shadkmusic. I hope the rest if this Q week gets better. Not liking this ” music”. — Chris Kennedy (@cek27_chris) January 26, 2015
1. @shadkmusic has a masters degree and won #CanadaReads. 2. calling trap/grime/hiphop “music” in quotes is dismissively backward thinking. — Lauren Simmons (@laurendorphin) January 26, 2015
@Wolvergene18 @CBCRadioQ @shadkmusic I believe the former host, during inception, began the program by saying “Yo,Yo, Yo what is up Canada” — Andrew McGregor (@and_mcg) January 26, 2015
