Out with the old

It’s rare that a song stops me in my tracks. Alabama-based Yelawolf has done just that with “Till it’s Gone.” Infectious. Can’t get it out of my head. Can’t quite explain why. Could be the lyrical gymnastics and the speed at which they’re delivered. Could be the hypnotic beat. Don’t know, don’t care, can’t get enough.

Royal Blood’s first release off their new-ish self-titled album. The track is four-minutes of fuzzed out rock. North American fans of the UK duo will have to wait until summer to check them out, as most of 2015 will be spent touring Europe, unless there’s a trip to Coachella in your future.

What can be said about the Glorious Sons? Young guys who clearly like to have a good time. Simple, straightforward rock from Ontario.

And now for something a little different. A Perfect Circle covers Bowie. It’s a five-year-old recording, but fitting to honor Bowie’s birthday last week. Cheers to many more.
