Gordon Lightfoot and Daniel Lanois raise funds for Grant Avenue Studio

For over 40 years, Grant Avenue Studios in Hamilton, Ontario has recorded legendary artists such as U2, Bruce Cockburn, Los Lobos, Johnny Cash, The Tea Party, Daniel Lanois and Gordon Lightfoot.

The 100 year-old studio is looking for a renovation and Lightfoot and Lanois want to make a contribution by performing for this infamous recording studio.

Orillia native Lightfoot will be giving an intimate studio performance at Grant Avenue in April while musician and producer Lanois (from Ancaster) will give a master class recording workshop in March.

People can gain access to these two events by making pledges in the top two tiers at kickstarter.com

These two events will offer supporters food and drinks with a meet and greet, photo ops, goodie bags and more. The first four people to pledge for the Lightfoot performance will also get complimentary VIP tickets to the Greenbelt Harvest Picnic on August 29th.

Lightfoot’s performance at Grant Avenue will be on April 9th at 8 p.m. Lanois’ workshop still has to be determined but will definitely take place sometime this March.
