He is ordering that YouTube remove over 20,000 videos that he says they do not have the rights to post. The penalty for not removing the videos could be upwards of $1 billion.
As noted in this Time article, Google is working to launch their own subscription streaming service called Music Key. Who knows – they may be up for a fight!

But here’s the magical question … how are the musical giants making licenses available ?
Sorry but if you are going to buy the rights to music and then just sit on it and make no sensible attempt to monetize the music and make monetizing easier – you will lose and you deserve to lose.
