Earlier today, AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was facing charges for his alleged role in a murder for hire plot. Well it seems those charges have now been withdrawn.
Stuff in New Zealand is reporting that the Crown Solicitor opted to drop the attempting to procure murder charges due to a lack of evidence. However, Rudd will still stand trial for the threatening to kill charge and possession after stashes of marijuana and methamphetamines were found in his home by police during an early morning raid.
Rudd was originally arrested after he allegedly hired a hitman to killed two unnamed men.
Police say an official statement will be released soon.
