Napster and Audi Team Up for Connected Car Offering

Yes, Napster is still around but in a very legitimate and legal form. So much so that the company has been able to forge a partnership with Audi to bring the Rhapsody-owned service into select 2015 vehicles.  RAIN reports:

Drivers will be able to use the MMI Navigation Plus and the Audi connect function to access the streaming platform’s catalog of more than 32 million songs. The Napster app and the Audi’s MMI connect app must be downloaded onto a smartphone to work. Both iOS and Android devices support the apps.

Audi has been actively pursuing connected car features for months. This summer, it announced tie-ups with iBiquity Digital’s HD Radio and Apple’s CarPlay.
