Like my mom, Rosemarie Arnold is a fan of Engelbert Humperdinck, and was thrilled to attend a show at the NYCB Theatre at Wesbury Long Island, back on April 29, 2011.
She dressed for the occasion, too, in a part of nice silk pants.
While waiting for the show begin, Rosemarie took a seat on a wooden bench outside the theatre. When another concert-goer came along, Rosemarie thoughtfully made room on the bench by sliding down a bit. Here’s where things went terribly wrong.
The act of sliding down the old, ratty bench injected more than a 1,000 splinters into her butt and thighs. The pain was tremendous. Treatment was required.
Actually a lot of treatment was required. More than a dozen splinters a day have been coming out of her thighs ever since. She’s required many painful injections to help dislodge the tiny pieces of wood. The whole ordeal has left her with limited mobility and she’s had to take a significant amount of time off work.
She’s now suing Live Nation–owners of the venue–for unspecified damages.
