Butt Music from The Renaissance. Wait–What?

Five hundred years ago, an artist named Hieronymus Bosch painted a triptych called The Garden of Earthly Delights.  If you examine the third painting, you’ll see an image of a dude face down under a giant lute with a musical score apparently tattooed on his ass.

An Oklahoma college student has transcribed that music and offers up this recording of Renaissance butt music.

If you want to get into Bosch’s work in greater detail, check out this BBC documentary.
