Breaking Beats

Canadians will be getting an early Christmas present from Apple. iTunes Radio is coming, but not until the Americans “Beta Test” it for us. Alan has found a workaround for those who can’t wait. That will give us plenty of time to figure out why our iOS 7 updated iPhone batteries are draining so quickly. Here’s a hint: blame Mark Zuckerberg.

What do your musical tastes say about you on a first date? If you’re like me (and I know I am), you’re a huge fan of The Boss. That’s good news, because it means your a monster in the sack — at least according to an online dating site. Whatever you do, don’t tell ’em you’re a fan of Rush. That’s a move that doesn’t have a happy ending.

Allergic to peanuts? Your next speaker system could spread on your walls like peanut butter.

And – a Geeks and Beats giveaway. We’ll tell you how you could win a booming wireless sound system thanks to your favourite concert experience.

A special thanks to co-producers Scott Coates from Kuala Lumpor, and Kitchener, ON’s Alyssa Clarkson. She’s a writer for a tech company in the area (we’re hoping it’s not BlackBerry) who “translates the brilliant ideas of others for the common folk.” Both she and Scott can put on their resume the fact they’re big shot co-producers. Just like Hollywood! Here’s how you can, too.
