Canadian Indie Band Creates Video Game Where You Fight Off Crazy Fans Until Everybody Dies

I met one of the guys from Cobrahawks at the KOI CON music event in Kitchener back in the spring. Later that day, they won an award for Best Novel Markeint Approach for a new game they developed to promote the band.

It’s a simple concept: you defend the stage from crazy fans who are trying to kidnap the band while the group’s music plays in the background.  As each member is killed off, that person’s part in the song (guitar, bass, drums, vocals, whatever) is subtracted from the mix. The longer you can defend the stage, the more cash you can earn.

This is kind of addictive.  If you need an afternoon timesuck, you might have found it.  Enter in your browser to start playing.
