In my experience, there are two kinds of people:  those who prefer Superman and those who’d rather hang out with Batman. Me, I’m rather agnostic.  When I was a kid, I insisted on wearing a utility belt with my Superman cape.

Where I lose it with both characters are with the Hollywood movies.  Outside of the first two Superman movies (featuring Christopher Reeve, Gene Hackman and Ned Beatty) and the first Batman film (the one with Jack Nicholson), I don’t like any of them.

Then again, I haven’t seen Man of Steel yet, so I have to reserve judgement.  Instead, Michael and I brought in resident nerd Brent Chittenden to talk about Superman and to go through his list of the best Superman-themed songs of all time.
