The other night, the theme from The Cleveland Show was looping in my brain.
There’s old friends
And new friends
And even a bear
Over and over and over again. I have no idea why.
It eventually went away (although now it’s back as I write this), but now I have a cure: puzzles. Tackling an anagram or working on some Sudoku seem to do the trick, crowding out the annoying song loop (as long as they’re not too hard; you have to be able to solve them for this cure to work.)
Details on this study from Western Washington University can be found at the Daily Telegraph. Thanks to John for the tip.
