Every time we watch a sci-fi flick the “computer screens” drive us nuts, so we decided to find out why Blade Runner 2049 didn’t suffer from user interface dreck passed-off as plot development. Who better to turn to than the guy behind the film’s on-screen technology than Peter Eszenyi of Territory Studio. We started by talking about a huge plot point: silicon-based computers really aren’t used 31 years from now.

  • Ahahahahaha … you may have spoiled Blade Runner 2049 for me (though it sounds only slightly). It just came out on Bluray and I’m finally watching tonight.

    Just laughing that I made it this far without hearing anything about the story prior.
