“It’s completely up to them”
In an interview with the Associated Press, Corden said “We will approach it in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled,” He went on, “We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because I don’t think there’s any other way we could deal with it, really.” Corden hasn’t had a conversation with the family as of yet, and wants them to take their time on having it. Bennington’s widow, Talinda quickly tweeted a thanks to James for his gracious words.
Apple Music has spun off the successful bit from the Late Late Show. The first episode aired August 8 with an episode featuring Corden getting jiggy with Will Smith. The 20-episode season includes song and dance filed rides with Miley Cyrus, Daily Show’s Trevor Noah, Game of Thrones stars Massie Williams and Sophie Turner, Metallica, Ice Cube and others.
