Tuesday’s performance is in support of Prince’s North American HitRun Tour. Prince will be accompanied by his band 3rdeyegirl, which features guitarist, Mississauga’s own, Donna Grantis.
Prince recently made headlines when the legend performed at a Rally 4 Peace at Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena, following the violence in the city and throughout the United States.
It was reported here, in November that it was thought that Prince would be doing a surprise show at Toronto’s Massey Hall. However, despite the hundreds of fans who lined-up for tickets, the show never went on with Prince’s people, along with the promoters, saying it was nothing more than “a production rehearsal” for “possible future performances”
