Taylor Swift Tops the iTunes Canada Charts with Eight Seconds of Static.

There’s a glitch in The Matrix. Anyone who went looking for new Taylor Swift on iTunes this week may have stumbled across a new song cryptically labeled as “Track 3.” Sampling (or purchasing) yielded nothing more than eight seconds of static. WTF?

So what happened? Like I said, it was nothing more than an upload glitch, something that probably happens more often than we ever hear about. What’s unusual is that because it’s Taylor Swift, her fans quickly pushed it to the top of the charts. Someone at her label, iTunes or the company iTunes uses to ingest new material has some ‘splainin’ to do.
