After a successful crowdfunding campaign on the Crowdtilt platform, the Foo Fighters have agreed to play a show in Richmond, Virginia for the first time since 1998. The campaign was created by a fan, Andrew Goldin, who wanted to bring the Foo back to his home town, and has surpassed its original fundraising goal.

A date and venue are yet to be sorted, but Dave Grohl spoke about the idea in an interview with a South African radio station (5FM) recently. Grohl indicated that crowdfunding campaigns could change how the Foo Fighters decide where to play in the future.
