Foo Fighters to Play a Crowd-Sourced Concert

After a successful crowdfunding campaign on the Crowdtilt platform, the Foo Fighters have agreed to play a show in Richmond, Virginia for the first time since 1998. The campaign was created by a fan, Andrew Goldin, who wanted to bring the Foo back to his home town, and has surpassed its original fundraising goal.

The Foo Fighters found out about the campaign and agreed to play the gig. A date and venue are yet to be sorted, but Dave Grohl spoke about the idea in an interview with a South African radio station (5FM) recently. Grohl indicated that crowdfunding campaigns could change how the Foo Fighters decide where to play in the future.
